The Aurea Weighted Anti-Anxiety Blanket by Komu provides soothing comfort during anxious moments such as thunderstorms, loud construction, vacuum cleaning, fireworks and vet visits.

Available in two fabric options, our signature dual-sided minky and bamboo design for cosy comfort and breathability, or a full bamboo version for pets who prefer a cooler touch. Both deliver gentle, calming pressure when it is needed most.

1. Weight of blanket in contact with pet should not exceed 10% of its body weight. Not recommended for flat-faced breeds, as their unique facial structure may make it difficult for them to breathe under additional weight.
2. To be used under supervision at all times.
3. Contains non-toxic glass beads, must never be consumed.
4. Keep out of dog’s reach when not in use.

Size details:

XS (60*80cm, 0.5kg) - for pets below 3kg

S (60*80cm, 0.8kg) - for pets between 3-12kg

M (80*100cm, 1.8kg) - for pets between 12-28kg

L (100*120cm, 2.8kg) - for pets above 28kg

Washing instructions:

Hand wash or machine wash on gentle cycle with cold water. Do not dry clean, soak, bleach, iron, tumble dry.

HOW TO HELP YOUR PET GET USED TO THE BLANKET:

Every pet is different. Some love the gentle pressure right away, while others need a little time to adjust.

Start by placing the blanket nearby and letting your pet sniff and investigate it at their own pace. At the start, use it during naturally calm moments like nap time or bedtime rather than when they are already anxious.

Begin with short sessions and gradually increase the duration over a few days. Pair the experience with treats, gentle praise, or a favourite toy so they associate the blanket with something positive.

Always allow your pet to move away if they choose. The blanket should never feel restrictive. Comfort and safety come first, and the goal is for the blanket to become a soothing part of their daily routine.
